Wu-Tang Clan & Jimi Hendrix - Black Gold Mixtape ...

Wu-Tang & Jimi Hendrix - Black Gold - Tom Caruana

We never believed that somebody will try to do it ...

Seriously, I never believed that somebody will try to make a mixtape and use Jimi Hendrix tracks ... this smelled always for me like a profanation, but wait a minute ??

Jimi Hendrix Tracks, genius of guitar, voodoo child, one of greatest live performers of our times + Wu-Tang Clan, Hip-Hop supergroup from New York which literately changed the rap game with their rhymes, flow, technique, and lyrics ... ok this might work ... but there's one more problem, who made it ??? ... If Dr. Dre or DJ Premier would be the ones who released it I wouldn't worry but Tom Caruana, doesn't tell me nothing ???

So I went to check hwho the hell is Tom Caruana ... and I still don't know I know only that he is hip-hop producer and he is a Member of Tea Sea Records he is from UK, and that he is releasing some tracks and I think one album but I didn't check very well, and really couldn't wait to check what he done to Jimi's tracks. Sorry Tom, I Promise I will check your tracks after I will finish to write this post ... you know man, you released something that can be a bomb so I was more interested in your work than you at the moment.

And Beginning is positive straight away I felt that this is Wu-Tang Clan & Jimi Hendrix Mixtape not opposite, but still for me as a fanatic fan of Jimi Hendrix and big fan of Wu-Tang Clan it really sound great, especially that the man who made it is more or less anonymous.Of course some of tracks are not really good, but we are receiving 26 tracks, and number of crap ones is maybe 4 ... especially part of Hendrix's "Little Wing" in track called "Tooken Back" shouldn't be remixed in this way.

The rest is good or very good, the tracks that really impressed me are ( For 2 of them we will give you YouTube Links ) :

2. House Of Flying Daggers
6. Last Call
8. The Wind Cries Mary

13.Hey Joe

19. Dirty Fox
23. Street Rap
25. What's Happenin (Perfect mix of Hendrix's "Crosstown Traffic" and Method Man's "What's Happenin")
26.The Hood

In overall I give to that album 8/10, Tom Caruana took very hard test and he passed it, every hip-hop fan will find something for himself on this album, but if you're fan of Jimi Hendrix remember that here Wu-Tang is priority, and guitar and some guitar solo's are only appearing as a samples. Hope you guys will enjoy listening same as we did while street poets from Wu-Tang we're talking to our stoned heads to the accompaniment of Jimi Hendrix ... roll it, smoke it, listen to it, and comment it.

Here is link to LiveMixtapes website where you can listen to whole mixtape by using livestream or download it for free to your hard drive.
